From NBA Star to Prank Host: Anthony Davis Leads TBS’ 'Foul Play'
NBA star Anthony Davis is trading the court for comedy as host of "Foul Play," a new hidden camera prank series on TBS. Premiering April 6, 2026, the show features elite athletes pulling elaborate pranks on unsuspecting targets. The 16-episode season follows a smash-hit special from last year.
After more than a decade in the limelight as an NBA star, Anthony Davis is no stranger to the camera. But this time around, he won’t be bouncing a basketball or blocking a shot in primetime. Instead, he’ll be hosting Foul Play, a new hidden camera comedy series from TBS.
The network has greenlit the series for 16 half-hour episodes hosted by the 2020 NBA Champion. Premiering Monday, April 6, the show will offer pairs of athletes the opportunity to show off their humorous, mischievous sides as they pull pranks on unsuspecting participants.
“Anthony Davis brings the same precision and swagger to comedy that he does to the court,” TBS President Jason Sarlanis said. “At TBS, we love a show that knows how to have fun, and Foul Play is exactly that. We’re excited for our viewers to have as much fun watching it as Anthony and the other athletes had filming it.”
Davis first hosted Foul Play as a TBS special in February 2025 with special guests Mookie Betts, Cameron Brink, and D’Angelo Russell. Pulling in more than three million viewers, it proved to be a success and paved the way for a 16-episode season led by the NBA All-Pro big man.
